What We Do

Humanitarian Assistance

We provide life-saving support to vulnerable populations during times of crisis, including food, shelter, healthcare, and emergency supplies.

Education Programs

We are committed to improving access to quality education for children, youth, and adults. Our education programs range from building schools to training teachers and providing learning materials.

Health and Medical Services

Our healthcare services focus on improving access to medical care and essential health services, especially in underserved and rural areas.

Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)

We aim to improve access to clean water and sanitation facilities to prevent waterborne diseases and ensure better public health in communities.

Disaster Resilience and Recovery

We focus on building resilience to future disasters and assisting communities in recovering from natural or man-made crises.

Genuinely Committed
Conflict Mapping, Averting and Mitigation

Bridging the communities and actors to exist and work together especially in conflict prone areas such as South Sudan is very important in achieving the desired impact.

Promote institutionalization in its approach in dealing with actors

Promote legal approaches on matters of conflicts

Promote participatory approaches to minimize conflicts

Promote inclusivity and avoid stigmatization.

Creation of awareness that gears towards enhancing mutual respect

Our ability to deliver life-saving assistance and create sustainable development programs depends on the support we receive from various funding sources.

Donations

VITRA relies on the generosity of individuals, corporations, and foundations who share our vision for a better future in South Sudan. Donations play a key role in supporting our programs, whether it's providing emergency relief, constructing schools, or delivering health services to those in need.

Revenues from VITRA’s Rental Facilities

VITRA also generates income from its rental facilities. These facilities include office spaces and other properties that are leased to businesses and organizations. This income helps to sustain our operational costs, ensuring that a significant portion of our funds can be directed to programs in the field.

Membership Contributions

Membership contributions come from individuals and organizations who choose to be part of VITRA’s mission. These members are not just donors but also active participants in the development process, helping to shape the initiatives and solutions that we implement on the ground.

Some Of our Project

We are proud to collaborate with partners like the Foundation For Youth Initiative to implement impactful projects that improve the lives of vulnerable communities. Two of our notable initiatives include the Women's Economic Empowerment Project and the WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) Project, both of which focus on fostering sustainable development and promoting gender equality.

Women’s Economic Empowerment

The Women's Economic Empowerment Project was designed to enhance the economic independence and livelihoods of women in South Sudan. By focusing on capacity building and access to resources, the project aims to improve women's skills, enable them to generate income, and help them gain a more significant role in their households and communities.

WASH Project – Renovation and Construction of Gender-Sensitive Latrines in Schools

The WASH project focuses on improving the health and sanitation conditions of schools in South Sudan. One of the key interventions under this project is the renovation and construction of gender-sensitive latrines, which cater to the specific needs of both boys and girls, ensuring that all students have access to safe and private sanitation facilities.
