The five-year term covered by the strategic plan is 2023–2027. The strategic plan is envisaged to be a tool that will improve responsibility of all stakeholders and enhance VITRA's mandate and its strategic direction. The strategy was created through a comprehensive process that involved all key stakeholders, staff and its board of directors. After a careful examination of the VITRA operational environment and the lessons learned from working with women's leadership and development in South Sudan for almost 2 years, prior to its formal registration, the goals and tactics presented in this document were participatorily drawn.  

VITRA will pursue the following strategic objectives.

·        Increased access to quality education for girls and women by 10% in VITRA’s target locations in South Sudan by 2027.

·        Increased safety and protection of women and girls by 5% in VITRA’s target locations in South Sudan by 2027.

·        Increased access to improved food security and livelihoods opportunities by 5% for the most vulnerable women and youth by 10% in VITRA’s target locations in South Sudan by 2027.

·        Increased access to a platform where women can go for support, professional development, networking, develop / pilot new ways of working at both systemic and individual level to unlock potential talent.

·        Improved and effective programs co-ordination and support, good governance and institutional development for enhanced performance of public and private institutions in delivering goods and services.
